ALL COMMUNITIES U16s and U18s FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The purpose of this project is to help refugee and other excluded groups to provide better access to football coaching and playing opportunities for young people from their communities. By capacity building these groups to become affiliated football clubs in their own right and providing a competitive infrastructure the Foundation hopes to initially increase and then sustain participation.

The All Communities project, established in 2003 for the U16 youth teams. It takes the format of three football leagues for youth teams held at the Douglas Eyre Sports Centre, Walthamstow. The Autumn and Winter leagues take place on Sundays on grass pitches, with the Summer league played on the artificial pitch during the evenings. Following the success of the leagues at this age group the project was extended to include U18 teams, thereby encouraging teams to sustain their participation in the game.
