Grassroots sport is founded on the generosity and commitment of people who give up their time to volunteer with their local club.
We invited the 81 football, cricket, softball and Gaelic football clubs playing across our seven playing fields to nominate their outstanding volunteer.
They never ask for praise. But sport wouldn’t happen without them
We are proud to announce the winners of the LPFF Volunteers of the Year — the heartbeat of grassroots sport.
“Hey, I am Toni Coakley a grassroots volunteer at Fisher Youth FC. As a Mum to two football mad boys and a trained youth worker, football, just fitted right in. My aim is to ensure young players have an outlet and access to football no matter what the circumstances are.
Volunteering is the key to building strong communities, relationships and engaging with players and their wider families. I always want to ensure our young players are representing themselves in the best way they possibly can.
Winning this award means the world to me, to be recognised in the community that I work so hard to represent feels amazing. Thank you to Fisher Youth FC for all the support over the years and here’s to many more”
“Volunteering has been at the heart of my life for many years — it’s about giving back, creating opportunities, and helping young people find joy and confidence through cricket. To be recognised with the Volunteer of the Year Award in the ‘7 Shows, 7 Fields’ campaign supported by Oasis Live ’25 is truly humbling. It feels less like a personal award and more like a celebration of the communities and young people I’ve been privileged to serve.”
Thanks to Oasis, these volunteers are getting the recognition they deserve with tickets to Oasis Live ’25 at Wembley!
