Clubs, schools, universities and others can hire our affordable football, cricket and rugby pitches.

We are committed to encouraging more Londoners to participate in sport and physical activity.

Our grounds have football, cricket and rugby pitches for hire across London, from Greenwich to Greenford.

They offer high quality grass and 3G pitches and provide a modern, accessible and attractive environment for teams to develop players and stay fit and active.

Hire our football pitches

  • Our football season is for 28 weeks from mid-September to early April.
  • You can book a pitch as a one off, or for regular sessions through a full or half contract. There is a discounted price for contract bookings.
  • Teams can apply to use a pitch once a week (28 matches – full contract) or alternate weeks (14 weeks – half contract).
  • Priority booking is given to existing users of a ground before we offer offer pitches to new clubs.
  • If your application is successful, we will confirm the dates a home pitch is reserved for you. Please inform your league’s Fixtures Secretary of these dates.
  • Application forms and pitch prices for the following season are available from mid-May. To receive an application form, please email jenna.schillaci@lpff.org.uk.
  • Each team must provide a deposit of £300 with their application for contract bookings. Payments are made in two instalments during the season in October and January. We will return your deposit if we are unable to provide you with a pitch.
  • If you have a contact booking and matches are called off because grounds are unfit to play on, we will make additional pitches available to you so can complete your agreed number of games. To do this, after British Summer Time, we will offer opportunities for additional matches at weekends and midweek evenings. Pitches may also be available beyond the end of the football season.
  • Refunds are not provided for contract bookings.
  • Unused contract pitch bookings cannot be carried across to the next season.
  • If a home fixture is allocated to you on a date when you don’t have a pitch allocation, contact us to find out more about pitch availability.
  • Teams are not allowed to sublet their pitch bookings to other teams.
  • Each ground has a pavilion with changing rooms and showers. All goalposts, nets and corner flags are provided.
  • Grass football pitches are only hired out for matches. They are not available for training.

Hire our 3G pitches

  • We have 3G pitches at Douglas Eyre Sports Centre and Peter May Sports Centre in Walthamstow. Both pitches are full size (11v11) with 9v9 and 7v7 markings.
  • You can hire the pitches as a full or half pitch.
  • They are hired in 90-minute sessions. So, matches need to be 35 minutes each way, or less.
  • Peak pitch prices apply on Monday to Thursday from 7pm to 10pm. Youth teams (under 16s) are given priority booking during off peak periods.
  • Contract bookings are for teams to train or play matches on midweek evenings during the football season (September to April).
  • Contract or one-off bookings are also available during the summer period.
  • Priority booking is given to existing users of the grass football pitches. New teams are accommodated where possible.

  • Our grounds have a pavilion with changing rooms and showers. Goalposts, goalnets and corner flags are also provided.
  • Players must only wear trainers or moulded boots on the 3G pitches. No screw-in studded footwear or blades are allowed.
  • Spectators are not permitted on the 3G playing surface. They must use the large spectator area provided.

Hire our cricket pitches

  • Our cricket season is 20 weeks from late April to early September.
  • We offer bookings on a contract and one-off basis. There is a discounted price for full and half contract bookings
  • You can book a pitch on a contract basis every week (20 matches – full contract) or alternate weeks (10 weeks – half contract).
  • Teams provide us with their allocated home fixtures when they apply to hire a pitch and we try to accommodate them on their preferred ground. If we can’t, you may be offered pitches at one of our other grounds.
  • Priority booking is given to existing users of the ground. Any available pitches are allocated to new teams.
  • Application forms and pitch prices for the following season are available from January. To receive an application form, please email jenna.schillaci@lpff.org.uk.
  • For contract bookings, each team provides a deposit of £300 with their application. Payments are then made in two instalments during the season in May and July. Your deposit is returned if we are unable to provide you with a pitch.
  • Contact us to see which slots we currently have available for hire.
  • If we have to call matches off due to the ground being unfit for play, we will try to find another date in the season for it to be played.
  • Refunds are not provided if an alternative date cannot be identified.
  • Un-used contract pitch bookings cannot be carried across to the next season.
  • If you have a home fixture allocated on a date when you do not have a pitch allocation contact us to enquire about alternative pitch availability.
  • Teams are not permitted to sublet their pitch bookings to other teams.
  • Cricket pitches can only be hired for one limited over match per day.
  • To prevent damage to a wicket, we only allow youth teams to play on a pitch if the adult team from the same club has a booking on the same day.
  • Each ground has a pavilion with changing rooms and showers. Teams must provide their own stumps and boundary markers.
