Douglas Eyre
Girls' Football Hub

based on our newly refurbished 3G pitch, the Hub provides an exciting opportunity for us to work in collaboration our clubs to create a female friendly, pressure-free environment where girls can learn the game and flourish.

In hosting monthly festivals for new players, mainly drawn from clubs who are providing football coaching for primary school girls aged 6 – 11 years we aim to support girls with limited experience to become regular participants in the game. For girls aged 11-16 years we are delivering Friday night sessions to provide playing opportunities for girls who may no longer be part of a club or who don’t want to play competitively. By providing a safe, fun and supportive environment for the girls we hope that they will be able to play freely without pressure or judgement.

These sessions are supplemented with regular goalkeeping clinics and coach education training for parents.

  • The festivals for 6-11 year olds take place on the first Sunday of every month. For further information please contact Matt Morgan – Ryan FC W&G Lead: matt.p.morgan@gmail.com.
  • The sessions for 11-16 year olds take place on the 3G pitch every Friday evening from 7.15-8.15pm. For further information please contact Jo McKenzie: jo.mckenzie@lpff.org.uk.
