Message from our Chief Executive on Government’s Overhaul of the Planning System

The announcement by the Government on 10th March to remove Sport England as a statutory consultee on planning applications that impact on playing fields as part of its overhaul of the planning system, is a cause of great concern for the current and future physical, mental and social health of the nation.

Redbridge Council revoke decision on Oakfield Playing Field

We were delighted that Redbridge Council announced on 23rd January that they would not be pursuing the decision made at Cabinet on 19th October 2023 regarding entering into negotiations with West Ham United for a lease at Oakfield Playing Fields and will recommence the process afresh.
